About
We are a group of 4 students working on a project to develop a safe and effective business approach at École des Mines Paris – PSL. We are enrolled in a specialized master's program specializing in risk prevention and crisis management in industry.
1. Why does this site exist?
This site was created to address a growing challenge: the increasing number of fires related to used lithium batteries in sorting centers, homes and professional facilities.
Our goal is simple: inform, prevent and support.
Through educational content, factual data and practical advice, we want to help everyone understand the risks, adopt the right actions and contribute to a safer management sector.
2. Our approach
The project is part of a desire to popularize industrial risks and to make often technical concepts accessible. We chose to approach the subject from a scientific, operational, and civic perspective, so that:
- so that individuals can recognize dangerous situations.,
- Professionals are finding clear regulatory guidelines again.,
- organizations can integrate good prevention practices.
This site is therefore designed as a awareness tool, but also as a lever of action, to reduce preventable accidents and strengthen the risk culture.
3. Our mission
Through this project, we aim to:
- to make information accessible to all,
- to promote responsible battery management behavior,
- to contribute to the reduction of fires linked to sorting or storage errors,
- to support public and private actors in disseminating best practices.
Our ambition: to contribute, on our scale, to a safer environment and a better understanding of a still little-known risk.
